Consider yourself fortunate, indeed, if you are able to have Brian’s remarkable talents brought to bear on your wallpaper project. He is the consummate professional; polite, prompt, precise, and a true master of his craft, He hung a challenging pattern in an old room where nothing was square or plumb. The job was additionally complicated by the challenge of one wall with three dormers and slanted half-walls...and there is a stair case thrown in for good measure. His experienced eyes and hands took it all in stride creating magic by the end. I can’t say enough good about this remarkable and gifted man.

Having been an interior designer for over 30 years, my greatest assets are the craftsmen with whom I’m associated. Brian Atchley epitomizes quality artisanship. His professionalism and attention to detail are outstanding, and, as an added bonus, he is a pleasure to work with!

Brian is a craftsman in the truest sense of the word. He hung an Hermes wallpaper in my odd little powder room under the stairs, with a sloping ceiling, in very tight working conditions. He spent considerable time determining the best way to place and center the pattern so that it showed to its best advantage; he even papered my switch plate without me asking. Brian and his workman were neat and tidy, and performed their work in a timely manner as well. He paid special attention to the wall prep, hanging a liner paper, and requesting the walls be primed with a specific product. I am thrilled with the end result, and appreciate his professionalism. I would not hesitate to refer him to my friends and Interior Design clients.

Having been in real estate for 20 years, I have seen countless wallpapering jobs. Some were good, some were bad, but none were what I could consider artistic until I saw Brian’s. We have had him do two wallpaper installations at our home, spread over about a 10 year period, and his quality is simply exceptional. I have also referred him to clients, and I don’t take that lightly. I rarely want to give a name out for fear that the work won’t live up to the hype I have given it. I have no worries with Brian. Watching him work is like watching a ballet dancer prepare or a painter painting. Many people underestimate the skill involved in paperhanging, but then they have never seen a master do it. You really can’t appreciate the care Brian puts into the job until you see the finished product. Everything lines up, patterns match perfectly, little details are flawless. Simply incredible to sum it up.

Brian is so attentive to detail and has continued to build on his expertise of working with different materials in his profession. When I have a mural to install I always know he will understand any unique situation about the space, the walls, or other particular needs to make any installation a complete and smooth success! Plus, he is easy and enjoyable to work with even in stressful moments.

We needed heavy grasscloth hung in a strangely-shaped 100-year-old dining room and Brian came highly recommended from an interior designer friend. He was an absolute joy to work with! Not only was he intelligent, pleasant and completely trustworthy, but his wallpapering skills and knowledge put him in a class by himself. He is a true professional, in every sense of the word. We will definitely use him for our next project.

When it came time to hang a Morris pattern as well as a very modern foil in my own home, I knew installation was going to make or break the project. Brian’s professional approach included inspection of the walls with recommendations for repairs, trimming of block printed paper for a perfect pattern match, and daily cleanup so thorough that we weren’t sure he had been on site. His cost was fair, his work was excellent, and he was a pleasure to work with. I can’t recommend another paperhanger as highly!

Brian’s paperhanging was without question the highlight of our grueling, extensive six-month interior renovation. Our contractor was shady; nothing went smooth EXCEPT for Brian’s exceptional work ethic and his process. He prepared the wall himself so they were flawless to his liking. He took our complicated wallpapers home to study and run testes to figure out the best application. Our dining room is a large geometric repeat (Vivian Westwood by Cole & Sons) lined up perfectly; our front hall, a vintage 1930s actual wood veneer – so tricky to install; our powder room a plaid BRITTLE vintage 1940s. All of them flawless in the end as if they’d always been there. Brian even made time after hours to cover the switch plates. In conversation, it is obvious Brian LOVES wallpaper – what more could you want from a paperhanger?! I wish all vendors involved in our project could have been as spectacular and passionate. So, in case the above isn’t loud and clear, I couldn’t say more positive things about Brian and recommend him wholeheartedly!
